Kinder Kits - Meet the Makers

When Victoria launched Kinder Kits in 2022, I was lucky enough to be asked to produce a series of ‘Meet the Maker’ videos. Each video profiled a local artist, creator or business owner who had had their product chosen to be part of the 2022 Kits.

This is the work I love doing. Not only is it great to meet interesting people, creating great products, it’s nice to be able to help them showcase their products to the world.

This story is about Mel, the chief “Wild One” at Wild Dough, and the amazing play dough she and her husband make at Wild Dough.

A set of beautifully designed Story Cubes were also included in the Kinder Kits, with art work by indigenous artist Nikita Rotumah.

The Kinder Kits featured lots of different children’s books, one of which is called Windows, written by Patrick Guest. Written during Melbourne’s first major lockdown, it fast became a hit as people all around the world were dealing with a new way of living, cut off from family and loved ones.
