Life Around Here - Documentary

Produced for The Australian Institute of Family Studies, this 45 minute documentary is a fascinating real life representation of the institutes longitudinal study into intergenerational family joblessness.

Making this documentary was a fantastic experience. Kelly Hand from AIFS, producer Duncan Imberger and I spent a number of days getting to know, interviewing and filming these five families. While the subject was a tough one, and the families were really battling, they made us all feel very welcome and it was a privilege to be given such an insight into their lives.

The outcome is a very real and honest depiction of the struggle many families in Australia face.
